What should I expect after treatment?

A clear blister or blood blister may form after treatment with liquid nitrogen. Do not at any time purposely break the blister. This will increase the chance of infection. The area treated should be kept clean and dry. If the wart treated with liquid nitrogen is on the foot, wear cotton socks and comfortable leather shoes.

What can I do for the discomfort after treatment?

Use Tylenol, 325 mg. - two tablets every four hours as needed or ibuprofen, 400 mg. - 1 to 2 tablets every 4-6 hours with food as needed for pain. If the wart treated with liquid nitrogen is located on the foot, elevate the foot above the heart if possible when resting, wear comfortable shoes and wear a protective type bandage or bunion pad if needed.

How do I know if the area is infected?
