Sexual Health Peers

Photo of sexual health peers attending a meetingThe Sexual Health Peers are a registered student organization. We are a volunteer peer education group that promotes healthy choices related to sexual health and relationships. Our programs are available to any campus or community group and address areas of sexually transmissible diseases, safer sex, relationships and dating, and birth control. We also take part in events such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, World AIDS Day, and Safe Spring Break.

These trained peer educators are great resources for the UIUC community. We welcome interested students at the beginning of each semester. Our group is also the Illinois affiliate of BACCHUS/GAMMA. The BACCHUS and GAMMA Peer Education Network is an international association of college and university-based peer education programs focusing on health and safety issues of college students. It is the mission of the network to actively promote peer education as a useful element of campus health education and wellness efforts.

Fall 2009 Walk In Hours: Tuesdays 6-8 pm @ The UI Wellness Center at ARC. Stop by and say hello, or ask a question!
