Translated Materials

McKinley Health Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in conjunction with other organizations, has been making efforts to improve the services provided to international students and their families. Fundamental to this effort has been the realization that language barriers can be a major obstacle in the ability to serve those populations that come from non-English speaking countries.

To overcome this obstacle, we have translated some of our patient information handouts (13 topics) into eight languages that include; Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.

We also have four International Medical Terminology Handbooks with translations that contain a list of medical terms used by health care providers and consumers available in English to Chinese, English to Japanese, English to Korean, and English to Spanish, available for purchase.
