If you have any of the following symptoms, get COVID saliva tested at the Illini Union:

If you test positive for COVID, you need to isolate for five days. If symptoms have resolved, you can leave home but continue to wear a mask at all times for an additional five days.

Treating the symptoms:
Over the counter medications to help treat your symptoms are available at local pharmacies and grocery stores.
McKinley Health Center offers limited free over-the-counter medications at:

  • The vending machine at the package center at Ikenberry Commons (Individual medications)
  • The Health Resource Center in the basement of the Illini Union (ask for a cold pack)
  • The Health Resource Center inside the front doors at McKinley Health Center (ask for a cold pack)

If you cannot find your answers above, you can call McKinley Dial-a-nurse at 217-333-2700, to ask about how you can self-treat your symptoms or if you need to be seen in a telehealth appointment or in-person appointment.
