Preferred Name, Gender Identity, and Preferred Gender Pronoun Changes at McKinley Health Center

At a recent LGBTQ+ Forum hosted in partnership with the LGBT Resource Center and McKinley, students voiced a desire for McKinley and others to improve inclusivity. In order to provide support and recognition, students are now able to disclose preferred names, gender identity, and preferred gender pronouns in the MyMcKinley Student Portal.

McKinley Health Center Director, Dr. Robert Parker shares: “McKinley Health Center staff are committed to using a student’s preferred name, gender, and/or pronouns to create an affirming, inclusive environment where students of all gender identities can receive the healthcare they need.”

Students have the ability to change or update their demographics through the MyMcKinley Student Portal at any time.
